In 2024 I photographed Jimmy Dean Horn for a feature in The Ton Magazine. Jimmy is a Chickasaw artist here in Santa Fe who works in printmaking, stained glass, painting, and whatever recycled material he can get his hands on. His imagery mixes Chickasaw symbolism with western themes and comes out of the tension between his military upbringing and his ancestral culture. Spending time photographing him and his work was a chance to see that mix up close and get a feel for how he builds those layered, story-driven pieces.
