IT'S ABOUT YOU
John Mellencamp asked my dad and me to film his baseball field tour, which traveled alongside Willie Nelson and Bob Dylan. With no traditional crew, we followed the tour for more than six weeks while John recorded No Better Than This in historic locations across the country. What began as a small two-person project grew into nearly two years of filming and editing, ultimately becoming It’s About You.
SALT OPTICS
After the release of It’s About You, my dad and I were hired to do a shoot for Salt Optics. He photographed the models while I filmed them. As each model finished on his set, they’d step over to mine, and I’d capture them moving from camera right to camera left as we talked. That shoot gave me the confidence to move to Seattle and begin working as a freelance videographer.
